Capping off an extraordinary month of Pearl Jamuary, our friend Baccus joined us to slay this tune from the golden era of grunge!

The height of grunge returns with our annual celebration of all things Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Hole, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, and more! Sing with the band every Sunday at the Railway!

0 Going Glowbal!

This weekend we had the distinct pleasure to invite the fine folks at Omega Mechanical on-stage to enjoy the rockstar experience at Vancouver’s world-famous Glowbal Restaurant.
It was the full-meal deal: 4-piece rock band plus our go-to vocal trio of Donna, Danielle and Tiffany. After getting the crowd warmed up with a little Van Morrison mini-set and the all-time QotSA banger “No One Knows”, we brought up our first guest to sing arguably the greatest song of them all: “Sweet Caroline”. That set the tone for another memorable night of Rockaoke Live, which ended with a bang: a blues-jam finale featuring the CEO Brad Hedblom on the skins.
0 A Very British NYE
Jack Daniel’s and The Cascade Room got the party started early on NYE!
Of course we had to pay homage to the unbearable number of British Icons who have past away in recent memory. David Bowie “Let’s Dance” was a fitting close to the first set, while Amy Winehouse got several nods on classics like “Valerie” and “Back to Black” as patrons paid their respects and toasted to the icons.
The Cascade Room’s manager Justin even got up on stage to close out the night with a “Whole Lotta Love” to remember. Amidst a thriving electric atmosphere, he declared that happy hour would be extended!
0 Wedding Bells are Ringing!
We got the call to play the beautiful Caulfield Cove Hall in West Vancouver, near the world-famous Lighthouse Park.
With love in the air, we started things off with a few classics before opening the floor for the guests to sing their hearts out, including a too-cute-for-life rendition of “Stayin’ Alive” by the little lady on the left.
Congratulations to the bride and groom, may your love last forever!
0 Rocking The Nita Lake Lodge
We drove up the world-famous Sea-to-Sky Highway to put on a special show for the fine folks at Arbonne.
After a few songs from the host-vocalist Robert Downey Goulet Jr., things started to get a little crazy as the special requests poured in. Journey? Check! AC/DC? Double-check!! Amy Winehouse, ABBA, Benatar…. it feels like we put on a music history show!
The ladies (and three lucky gentlemen) from Arbonne sure know how to have a good time, and that’s what we’re ALL about!
Thanks again to Carol Priest Entertainment for putting Rockaoke Live on the case 🙂
0 CHBA Conference
We are still reeling from the crazy party at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort in Kelowna with the Canadian Home Builder’s Association. For the first time ever, we unveiled the vocal trio of Danielle, Donna and Tiffany, AKA the Thrillas from Manila.
From the opener “For Those About To Rock” to the Canadian classic finale “Blow at High Dough”, the dance floor was packed the entire night… We Salute You!
HUGE thanks to Carol Priest and Danielle Julien for putting on such a great event:
0 Special TV Appearance
We are gearing up for our first ever TV appearance courtesy of Lola Acala, host for “Ledge TV” on Shaw. Recently, Lola took the stage with us at Studio Records on Granville to sing “Try” by Pink, and she absolutely killed it! We are thrilled to have her as a fan and supporter of this crazy Live-Band-Karaoke concept.
On March 9th, Rockaoke Live takes over the Shaw studio to answer some questions about the project and deliver a very special performance. We hope you like surprises 😉 The half-hour show airs throughout the month of April on Shaw TV channel 4.
Spring(steen) is in the air!

On Saturday November 7th we ditched the Rockaoke format to perform “Au Natural” for our first show at this Vancouver venue. Retronight was in full effect, unleashing our catalogue of classics from the 50s, 60s and 70s, with a few modern jams sprinkled in to sweeten the mix.
We enjoyed great food and some mighty good beer… Could be a place for future shindigs!
